Saturday Sketching & Painting Days We sketched on these days in 2008 - 12th April, 10th May, 7th June, 12th July, 9th August, 13th September. There will be more Sketching Days starting in the Spring. e-mail: sue.paton@ntlworld.com
Sketching Day trips are like mini Painting Holidays and may be suitable
for those who want a taste of sketching on location but are not able or
ready to come on a Painting Holiday.
St Fagans
Castle & Museum of Welsh Life is a wonderful place to visit and
sketch.
You don't need any experience, just enthusiasm! These days are tutored and suitable for beginners, improvers and more experienced artists. Bring art materials and folding stool or something to sit on. I can provide materials, stools etc, just let me know what you need when you book.
There are many lovely scenes to sketch and paint
Actually, the piggies are my favourite!
The gardens around the Castle are beautifully kept and inspirational
to artists
The dresser in the Farmhouse is loaded with beautiful blue and white
pottery
The Castle itself is lovely to paint too
We usually sketch from 10.30 am until 3.30 pm with a break for
lunch around 1pm. You can bring a picnic or take lunch in the Museum Cafe. For Sketching days at St Fagans I charge £10 per person per day for admin and tuition. An Art Materials pack can be bought from me if you let me know in advance. I sell pack consisting of a box of watercolour paints, brush, artists pen, pencil, eraser, sharpener, drawing paper and watercolour paper all in a shower-proof plastic wallet for just £20! A lift may be arranged if needed, please ask. You can contact me on 07961 358393 or 029 2025 3295 to book. You can also e-mail me at sue.paton@ntlworld.com It is best to call me and confirm you are coming - please do this as I need to know who to wait for in reception!
