NEWS FROM BULGARIA I have now sold my Bulgarian villa. Carolyn, Roger and I stayed in the National Palace Hotel in Sliven, which was lovely, and the food was exceptionally good too.
Sliven has a pretty town centre with the major buildings on the shopping street painted in
It has a one thousand year old oak tree in the centre of town
and a very thoughtful looking bear! Hmmm! Where did I leave my honey?
This is Roger with John Mitchell from Remax in Sliven who conducted the sale for us. John took us to the Tuesday Night Club to meet the local British people who live in the area. There are about 50,000 British people who own homes in Bulgaria now! We went off to Panicherevo to see the house, looking pretty in the snow ![]() The views from the top floor were lovely and clear
So was Lake Zhrebchevo. The lake is 26 kilometres long and is actually a man - made reservoir!
The mountain air was cool and refreshing It is a beautiful, peaceful place
I hope Carolyn and Roger have many happy times there.
