Dubrovnik

I have been running Painting Holidays in Dubrovnik for the past 3 years and now consider myself to be a specialist in this area of Croatia. I know all the best places to sit and paint, all the best places to eat, best islands to visit and best places to stay.
Once again we will spend a week in lovely Zaton Bay - because you can't improve on perfection!

We will again stay at the Mali Raj guesthouse in Zaton Bay, a large, beautiful and peaceful bay close to Dubrovnik. The village has good restaurants, a post office, lovely places to sunbathe and swim in the calm warm waters and wonderful views from all angles to draw and paint. Whilst our base will be at Mali Raj, other nearby accommodation is available close by, of the same standard.

This year I will be at Mali Raj for 2 weeks. Come and join me for either week - or both!

Travel

Cheap flights to Dubrovnik from are available from Gatwick, Bristol or Manchester with BA, Thompson and Easyjet. Transfers to our accommodation to and from Zaton Bay can be arranged and are included in the price.

Cost
Included in the cost of £500 per person - Dubrovnik airport transfers, tuition, B & B accommodation in Zaton Bay, an Island trip and entrance to Old City Walls.

Agenda
We sketch and paint around Zaton Bay, Dubrovnik Harbour, inside the Old City, walk and sketch from the City Walls and take a boat trip to a nearby island.
There will also be time to shop, swim and relax. We buy our own lunches and evening meals at the many excellent eateries in the area, all are good value for money and the food is outstanding, mostly homegrown fruit and veg, freshly caught fish, home made local wine and olive oil.

Materials
Please bring watercolour paints and pad, sketchbook and pencil. You can purchase a drawing pen from me. I will advise on materials to bring if you e-mail or call me. Please travel light, no heavy drawing boards. You will not need to bring a stool there are plenty of places to sit, but an inflatable cushion can be a good friend!

Clothing
You will need summer clothing for Dubrovnik, plus swimwear, a jacket or wrap for evenings in case it turns cool. The locals start swimming in Zaton Bay in April but by May the weather is just right - not too hot but hot enough to enjoy the lovely clear seas.
 
If its cold at home, wear heavier clothes for travelling to & from Britain.

Insurance
I am an Art Tutor not a Travel Company. I cannot offer corporate holiday insurance.
Please arrange your own holiday insurance as you would normally.

Booking
Please book with me as early as possible so that I can secure accommodation for you.

British Airways are excellent but do tend to put up the flight prices closer to flight date, without warning. Please also note that their flight costs are non refundable. For other airlines please see their websites.

If you book and need to cancel please inform me as soon as possible so that I can get a refund for you. Cancellations made less than 1 month before departure is due will be charged at full cost.
