The 2008 Painting Holiday in Cornwall was a great success, so I am running more there in 2009 over a two week period. Come for one or both weeks. Places are limited so do book early please.
Accommodation is based in the historic
seaside town of Penzance.
Penzance has a wonderful location on majestic Mounts Bay with views across
to St Michael's Mount and Newlyn. There is an excellent shopping centre,
many historic buildings, splendid gardens and plenty of galleries to visit.
There are also many fine eateries around for our evening meals.
Our self catering accommodation in 2008 was at Carn Brea, an elegant 5 storey Edwardian house, decorated and furnished to high standard, which I am hopeful of being able to use in 2009 ... otherwise I will choose similar accommodation in the same area.
The area is perfect for painting guests who want to enjoy this unspoilt seaside town, with the sea front, harbour area and sub-tropical gardens all strolling distance away.

Accommodation, full Cornish or Continental Breakfast and snacks are included in the price of this holiday.
We will be out on excursions most days and we will take lunch and some evening meals in the area we are painting.
Also included is local transport and entrance fees to museums and galleries.

Mounts Bay
I have been bringing groups to paint in South West Cornwall for several
years now as there is such a wealth of wonderful places to inspire the
artist.
Our painting excursions this year will include dramatic St Michael's
Mount,
the picturesque fishing village of Mousehole

Mousehole Harbour

The Mousehole Gift Shop
Cape Cornwall
Penlee House Gallery & Gardens, Penzance

Zennor Wayside Museum
Spaces are limited on this Holiday so book early!
Our group will be small and friendly to assure lots of one to one
tuition and a happy holiday for all. Non-painting partners are welcome,
at a reduced rate. There will be plenty for them to do and see in this
beautiful part of Cornwall and they are welcome on our excursions too.
I will be giving a short talk / demo in the mornings, you will be
able to paint
all day with a midday break for lunch, then we'll have a group
session late afternoon
to review the day's results. You also will have time to wander and
look at shops and galleries or simply relax in your own way.
There are good art shops in Penzance but you may wish to bring your
own materials
with you. Tuition will be given for any medium or style.
This Holiday costs only £600 per painter. Price includes 7
nights B&B,
snacks, tuition, ferry and entrance to St Michael's Mount, Penlee House and Zennor Wayside Museum.
Transport to Cornwall from Cardiff can be arranged.
If you are travelling from elsewhere let me know and I can help with directions and arrange pick-ups from Penzance stations.
