PAINTING HOLIDAYS IN CORNWALL 2006

This year I ran two holidays in Cornwall during the summer.
Our accommodation was with Cape Cornwall Golf and Country Club in
St Just,
between Lands End and St Ives.
I chose this area of Cornwall for its variety of landscape - the
rugged beauty of the moorland, tin mines and dramatic cliffs of the coastline,
St Michaels Mount and magnificent Mounts Bay, secret valleys and coves,
huge sandy beaches like Sennen, historic harbours such as Mousehole, picturesque
villages, National Trust gardens, and artists colonies St Just and St Ives with their many galleries large and small.
We had very good weather and thoroughly enjoyed painting this wonderful
part of England.
Accommodation at the Club, pictured below, was basically good, the
staff friendly and helpful and the food was marvellous!
We visited Priest Cove, St Just, St Ives, Marazion and St Michael's
Mount, Mousehole, Zennor, Sennen, the Minnack Theatre and Porthcurno, Lamorna,
Trengwainton Gardens, Cot Valley and Bollowall Bronze Age Burial Mound.
My students were Mrs Mimi Ley, Mrs Zoe Pearce, Mrs Jean Ball, Mrs
Kath Hobbs, Mrs Cath Craigan, Mrs Freda Cribbs, Mrs Nicola Andrews, Mrs
Heather Engel and daughter Lynette, and Mr Adrian Thomas.
Below are some photos from the holidays.
